Michael Jung
Principal
Mr. Jung is a principal in the firm and focuses on investments in internet services, media and software. He joined JPMorgan Partners in 2003. From 2001 to 2003, he was Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development at the Exigen Group, an enterprise software and services company, where he managed the company's day-to-day business development activities. From 1999 to 2001, Mike was at Ask Jeeves, Inc., an internet search engine company, where he ultimately served as Vice President of Strategic Corporate Development, leading the company's mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnership efforts. Mike advised a variety of high technology companies as an investment banker with BancBoston Robertson Stephens from 1998 to 1999 and from 1996 to 1998 as an attorney with Gunderson Dettmer.
He holds a J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley. He currently serves on the board of directors of Axiom Global, World Golf Tour, Shopflick, Zilliant, and Securify. He is also a board observer to Federated Media Publishing. Mike is also the founder of Alpha, a Silicon Valley based networking association comprised of leading influencers, executives and entrepreneurs focused in the internet and media.
