Mr. Caindec is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Panorama where he advises portfolio companies and develops technology investment strategies. Prior to Panorama, Mr. Caindec was Chief Marketing Officer of Reliance Globalcom, a global communications provider with more than $1.6 billion in annual revenues. Prior to Reliance Globalcom, Mr. Caindec was Chief Marketing Officer of Yipes Enterprise Services where he successfully repositioned the company from being a metro Ethernet provider to a leading managed network and application services company. Yipes was acquired by Reliance Communications for $300 million and later renamed Reliance Globalcom. Prior to Yipes, Mr. Caindec was a Principal and founder of Farallon Technology Resources, a solutions provider for network acceleration, content distribution and IP route control. Previously, Mr. Caindec held executive and senior management positions in marketing and business development at British Telecom, MCI Communications, Internap (NASDAQ: INAP), CyberCash (acquired by Verisign) and ATMnet (acquired by NTT Verio). A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Mr. Caindec has also been quoted in Network World, Light Reading, Telephony, Capacity, Exchange, America’s Network, Converge Digest, Inside Market Data and Wall Street & Technology.
Mr. Caindec has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has served as a Technology Advisor to Bigstep.com (acquired by Affinity Internet) and Achex (acquired by FDC).
